SHENNINGTON KART CIRCUIT in England has made these comments, for us to share with you. (Mr Cox Circuit Manager)

Glad we managed to make contact the other day!     The used tyres you have kindly supplied in the past have been so useful to us, as they are excellent application for tyre walls etc.   Due to the high volume of incidents in karting, these tyres have done a great job with very few injuries and very little damage to the karts.   We look forward to receiving more in the future if possible - I will be in touch with you about supplying some more.  We have had over a 1,000 used F3 / F4 cases and we will eventually hope to have enough of your tyres to do the whole circuit.

"''For Adam to win on the Sunday morning…the story of that first weekend at Imola was all about the car packing up with the electronics in the practice session, the brakes exploding in the first race and they changed from Carbone Lorraine to Brembo overnight," recalls Buxton who was working as GP2 press officer at the time.

"All the cars were fitted with Brembo brakes for the Sunday morning and all the drivers had to get used to these brand new brakes that actually worked. Ernesto Viso threw it off on the lap from the pits to the grid because the brakes were so much better.''

2016 SEASON STARTER.

Image description

Probably the best Tony Kart brake disc in the Karting industry.

                  Increased airflow for maximum cooling;

Vents' are individually CNC machined, not left rough and unfinished (as sand cast discs are) which disturbs airflow, smoothe finish for maximum efficiency

Premium grade British iron; Both iron composition and pad material are produced as compatible products to exceed drivers expectation

Lighter than the OEM Tony Kart which assists inertia

FRIXA Tony Kart disc out-performs  the OEM Tony Kart disc and has a longer life (Not made for profit but for performance)

Available only through the FRIXA network of Distributors

2016 IS UPON US.............

It’s already upon us…..2016 and another season for you all to think about and with your aspirations, goals and personal achievements you are looking for.

We wish to say a big personal thank you to our main USA distributor, Micheal Courtney of Courtney Concepts  together with he’s vast network of dealers for bringing FRIXA, victories in the SKUSA, the USA Championships.

We always keep our ‘ears’ close to the ground all over the globe, listening for special achievements and the SKUSA must be up there in the best results for us.

In 2016, we are again, improving our brake pad materials, just to give more of an edge and, keeping WELL ahead of our competitors in the construction of our high performance material - Plus, The quality, as we do not have any brake dust escaping from our material, coating up the rotor surfaces and caliper functions un- like our competitors pad materials. (Health & Safety) that's why our rotors have plain surfaces, to vastly assist the ''PULLING POWER'' to aid cooling, thus eradicate over-heating of other adjacent components such as bearings, carriers, axles and increase tire pressures (All stems from heat transfer upon brake operations)

The feedback we keep getting is absolutely fabulous and we welcome all of your comments, so to improve not just customer satisfaction but, making FRIXA your chosen No1 brake.

Many of the comments from the karting fraternity are mostly this :-

Why does your pads last twice as long as Tony Kart / CRG original brake pads…………..This answer is simple to answer…………… We have an expert motorsport development team and everything we sell to the end user, is physically tested (Humanly) before going to market so we can assure you the end user, you have the best and safest in / on your machine.

Why does your brake rotors improve the stability and regulate the heat much better than the original kart manufacturers products and why are they much lighter :-

All we can say, without giving away our secrets is, DITTO as in question 1………..we know from our vast motorsport experience, what works and what is a waste of money.

We do not believe in making rotors because they look ‘beautiful’…..we make rotors for motorsport use and not to encourage the EYES on silly fancy shapes, fancy cross drilling and absolutely cheap materials, that you have to pay ‘through the nose for’ ………….

WE WANT TO HELP YOU WIN………………..NOT TO HELP YOU BURN ALL YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.

Apologies to changing some of dealers too, UK has gone…… Poland has gone……….Portugal and Spain has gone but please, contact other dealers close to you to assist you or, just send us a message via our ‘’contact us’’ form on this website, we will ALWAYS REPLY.

We will replace these dealers………….time and patience to get the right choices.

So, to end on this positivity and assurances that we at Frixa Motorsport want to wish all our current users a HAPPY NEW YEAR and to all out new users…… talk to the current users of their experiences using probably the best brakes in karting currently on the market-place.

STAY SAFE AND ENJOY THE RIDE !

Coming for 2016............

FRIXA BRAND karting products, are being reported as No1 preferred brake pad / rotor in USA................

We wish t thank both our hard working dealers, COURTNEY CONCEPTS and PERFORMANCE KARTSPORT for making this happen !!

TO DATE...........................

Over 500 FRIXA rotors being used in USA

Over 300 FRIXA rotors being used in ENGLAND

Over 400 FRIXA rotors being used in EUROPE

Over 400 FRIXA rotors being used in ASIA

Over 300 FRIXA rotors being used in AFRICA

Over 200 FRIXA rotors being used in NEW ZEALAND / AUSTRALIA...........

Brake pads and brake discs (rotors) ARE consumables and they are NOT the BRAKING SYSTEM.

THAT IS JUST KARTING......................

Karting is the primary part of motor racing, that all youngsters start in and indeed, even the 'grown ups' love to participate too.

It is supposed to be an AFFORDABLE SPORT especially in, braking components.......QUALITY AND PERFORMANCE.

With some major brake pad manufacturers who make brake pads and brake discs (rotors) on behalf of Kart Manuafcturers, the Kart manufacturers think of PROFIT ''HOW MUCH CAN WE MAKE'' ............Frixa says' HOW CAN WE MAKE THESE PADS AND ROTORS EVEN BETTER THAN THEY ARE ALREADY.

We still hear from the 'sidelines' from various Karting shop owners around the globe ''Frixa are a chinese outfit'' ..............It's good that these people are speading the word about the name FRIXA but, these owners are afraid of losing business and, losing reputation from the likes of the Italian Kart manufacturers who EXPECT their dealers to sell their below quality products, indeed our Parent company, Hankook Tire also had this sort of verbal abuse and now, look at them !!!

So of course, they are going to 'blag' about us..............THE PROOF IS IN THE USERS AND THE SALES AROUND THE GLOBE........29 Countries in 4 years !!

All we can say and comment about for now !!

APRIL 2015

We were delighted to meet up with one of our first users of our VEN05 rotors. Steve Bull from England purchased our ven05 rotor in 2013, used as instructed the frixa ven05 brake pad materials and, used varied compounds to suit the track / driving conditions and after over 240 race / qualifying session PLUS test days......Is using the same rotor (we are not surprised as the quality of workmanship / compatible pad - rotor material.

Steve asked us ''I need to buy a new centre section (bell) as the float on the rotor is getting more noticeable but apart from that, It has been a fantastic saving'' he added....there has never been ANY heat  problems at all, unlike the original CRG rotor that 'cooks' everything around the caliper with exceptional heat and, after a race you cannot get anywhere near the rear end of the kart.

The Frixa ven05 disc is also virtually the same weight as the ceramic rotor that now, has been discontinued on safety issues, making I believe the Frixa ven05 rotor, the lightest rotor for this CRG chassis........''

Probably the best karting brake pads and discs in Karting,

The FRIXA ven05 Disc (once ceramic is banned from the CIK) will be the LIGHTEST disc for this Chassis, virtually 0.80 Kg lighter than the 'normal ven05 disc'.

The FRIXA Tony Kart is 180mm X 16mm wide - Absolute thermal controlled productive disc on the market.

A very Happy New Year from us all here at, Frixa and Hankook Tires

Look out for a better improved up dated website for the 2015 race season.

25 SEPTEMBER 2014 - ANOTHER SEASON HAS 'FLOWN BY'................

It has been a while since a new up-date, mainly because we have been so busy with testing, developing new products and making ourselves more competative for 2015 and, working much closer with our Parent company Hankook Tyres.

Our brake discs / rotors that are being produced for karting, have been so in demand that we cannot keep up with the amount of requests from our dealers, so we have had to do something to 'speed up' the manufacturing / production process.

What we have now developed is a new model of CNC machining, to produce 5 brake discs at a time, so the production process can run non stop (apart from changing the 'jig' to accept more work.

There are a couple of photographs, to show you all how we have move forward to helping our dealers, helping you with the Frixa karting brake products.

24 JUNE 2014 - FRIXA BRAKE TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN INTO F1 STANDARDS

It's been a month since we last did any kind of up-date to our news section because, we were keeping this news until it was conclusive.

We have been engaged over the last 8 weeks, with a F1 brake system designer to assist in making a new brake system for a ''new'' kart that MAYBE out on the karting market-place soon (TBA).

So far the kart is being a close kept secret and we are guessing at this stage, we belive it would be either Ferrari or Toro Rosso that has engaged our services.

We only know who the F1 designer is and I am afraid, he's name cannot be published either. - KEEP IN TOUCH we will reveal all soon.

How did a F1 designer come to Frixa - He was recommended to use Frixa by another F1 designer who we worked with 6 years ago and, 2 top Kart Manufacturers in Italy as the No1 choice. Now that is recommendation !!!

3 MAY 2014 - A WELCOMED NEW APPOINTMENT FOR FRIXA IN AUSTRALIA; KERBRIDER PTY

More exciting news from us here to share with you all, especially those karting drivers / teams in Australia. Frixa are pleased to announce, Kerbrider Pty as their appointed dealer for Australia. Kerbrider Pty is owned by the ex karting driver Aaron Rintoul who is based  near the Port Melbourne Karting Complex (Australia’s most prominent circuit). Aaron was once part of the 'crew' at the Australian kart manufacturer factory of ARROW karts,

In 2008 Aaron left Arrow Karts to begin a new profession in the Conveyancing (property law) with his wife Linda, together they have operated a successful team and business for the past six years. In 2011 Aaron decided to get back into the sport and embarked on Rotax racing at the national level finishing second in that year’s Rotax Pro Tour Series, whilst operating a small trackside business of apparel sales.

Now Aaron's excting future is focused on building KERBRIDER with sond investment in more karting products and varying lines including Energy Corse racing karts, Tony Kart, Arrow Karts and of course FRIXA brake products, still operating with a dedicated trackside facility trailer fully stocked with the best karting product to cater to all customer requirements. We wish him a great success and a long future, especially with FRIXA

We hope the Australian karting teams, drivers and organisers get behind Aaron at Kerbrider Pty also, Aaron will be selling our unique brake discs / rotors that everyone in USA and Europe are going crazy over. A preferred choice to all the top drivers; ONLY available from KERBRIDER PTY our APPOINTED AND APPROVED DEALER.

18 APRIL 2014

We wish to share with you our unique production process of manufacturing your karting brake discs / rotors.

EVERY brake disc / rotor is made by precise and controlled CNC machining program and NOT by casting from a moulding process that gives an uneven and inprecise airlow and, to allow the materials work at their corrrect operating temperatures.

All Castings are cheap and rough to produce and most casting manufacturers do not care about their composition or compatibility

i.e. Brake pad materials / Brake disc / rotor composition.

A brake disc / rotor is JUST a platform for the brake pad to operate on. We know what our brake pad material is made from and also, we know what grade of iron and the composition is used TO ENSURE THAT THEY ARE WORKING COMPATIBLE COMPONENTS when you buy FRIXA quality products, you buy professional racing products.

13 APRIL 2014

News in the development sector:- As from today we are ceasing the production of the Frixa TONY KART 212mm X 16mm brake disc, as this size is not popular to the European and USA kart racing and, it is generally replaced by the 180mm Tony Kart rotor by many.

Don't forget the Frixa 180mm is 16mm wide and has that 'extra' thermal conditioned vent charactistics, to prevent any component upon the axle, over-heating and will prolong the life of them as they are, important and expensive compnents.

We are also pleased, that one of the top F1 designers have chosen Frixa to assist in the probabilities of bringing a new and axciting chassis to the karting world for 2015 - We will keep you informed as we progress with the braking system.

5 MARCH 2014

Here in detail is our new TONY KART 180mm X 16mm brake disc / rotor.

Looking great next to the original Tony Kart product with our vast improved cooling chambers (Vanes) whereby volumes of hot gases can be extracted in milli seconds to allow the FRIXA brake pads to keep working at their optimum performance.

The original Tony Kart brake disc is a mere 11.5mm wide yet, it still shares the same caliper as the original Tony Kart 16mm wide (205mm rotor)?

Keeping all the other ancillary components cool, is also extremely important, such as brake fluid temperatures - decreased; Axle temperature - decreased; Hub temperatures - decreased; Bearing temperatures - decreased and finally, the rear left hand side tyre temperature remains at a steady pressure as their is no thermal passage along the axle to allow the tyre to increase in pressure and a BIG plus, the tyre last longer and maintains grip evenly along with the original set up.

All our products are only available through our network of AUTHORISED DEALERS throughout the World.

Now we are into a new season, the 2014 pre-season testing has brought us good feedback from arounf the globe regarding our new brake products for professional karting.

The CRG chassis has seen new FRIXA front KZ and KF brake pads and ROTORS being intoduced into the Frixa dealership shelves.(see drawings of the components above)

The photograph shown opposite is the NEW Frixa 180mm Tony Kart brake disc / rotor boasting its 16mm cooling vane network to vastly improve the cooling of their braking system (always been a head-ache for Tony Kart owners). Please note; The original Tony Kart brake pads are NOT compatible with our metals, Tony Kart brake pads are made too hard and destroys the surface of the brake disc. PLEASE USE FRIXA CA01 / 18 / 15 with the FRIXA ROTOR. and as always with professional drivers, BED IN / RUN IN these components (can read this process in the Technical page)

ALL FRIXA BRAKE DISC / ROTORS FOR KARTING ARE MADE FROM PRIME QUALITY MATERIALS AND ARE MADE ONE BY ONE ON A CNC MACHINE - THESE BRAKE DISCS / ROTOR ARE NOT CASTED IN A MOULD LIKE OUR COMPETITIORS.

FRIXA LAUNCHES NEW FRONT BRAKE PADS AND FRONT BRAKE DISCS / ROTORS FOR CRG KZ and KF PLATFORMS plus THE TONY KART KF PLATFORM - Only available from the Frixa Dealer Network

It has been a long time coming and now finally, FRIXA are launching the new range of brake pads for the CRG platform (KZ and KF range kart) and KF Tony Kart platform.

There will be 2 compounds available for both chassis and because of the KF hand operating system, we have been careful not to produce the wrong material and for the pads to work in unison with our F3 material, race proven brake discs for the KF and KZ ranges.

COMPATIBILITY is paramount when making brake pad material and brake disc / rotor materials, so a lot of development work has gone into 'getting it right'!

Many professional drivers, complain about overheating of the standard manufactured CRG products, but please be aware, non of our products have had homologation from FIA/CIK but, this will change soon as we are designing our own brake system for 2015 Homologated applications

01 October 2013 - FRIXA brand helps bring the silver home for Maranello kart (LPT) Scotland

Frixa would like to congratulate personally 3 outstanding drivers on their excellence
and results during the NKRA finals in Llandow, over the weekend of 29 & 30 September 2013

Team Maranello (LPT) drivers Ross Adamson, Keith Wilson and Stephen Philip certainly
showed the rest of the competitors that the new Maranello RS12 was the chassis to be on, as they took home the trophies, titles and champagne.

Frixa supplied all 3 drivers with Ven05 pads and our high quality lightweight rotors and we have been delighted with all their successful results all through the 2013 race Calendar

8 September 2013  Frixa products sanctioned for the ROK Polish 2014 Karting Championships

Due to the safety and prime quality of the Frixa braking products, the Senior Organiser of the ROK Championship, together with the President of the Karting Federation have sanctioned ALL Frixa brake products to be approved and to be allowed in their ROK Championships for 2014.

This is fantastic stepping stone for Frixa, especially with the contention of the CRG Ceramic brake disc.

Frixa has been invited to CRG Italy to discuss our braking system, but no set date has been set as yet and also the CIK-FIA possibly removing ALL Ceramic materials from braking systems for 2014/2015 it has been said..........?

Currently the Frixa disc brake is 100 gram heavier than the CRG ceramic brake disc, without the hub but, we are making another hub and suitable / compatible 'bobbins' that will make the total weight slightly less (50 gram) weight than the current CRG Ceramic assembly.

Image description

7 September 2013     CRG ven05 DISC EXPLOSION

We have never witnessed one of these CRG Manufactured disc / rotor exploding before, but heard so much about HOW loud they explode, when they explode !

Frixa's senior Technician was working in Poland with team Maranello and within the confines of their awning, just watching the 'pre warm up' process of a Maranello kart just before it went out for qualifying.

Their senior driver / mechanic was operating both between the accelerator and brake, whilst the kart was on its stand pre warming, then there was an ALMIGHTY Bang....... 'Archie' the other mechanic was standing virtually behind this kart and physically felt the broken pieces WHISTLNG BY HIS HEAD - Eventually we found the pieces - AS SEEN HERE IN THE PHOTO OPPOSITE.

We sent a report to the CIK-FIA about this terrible experience, witnessed first hand - I am informed that POSSIBLY all ceramic material brake disc's will be discontinued in karting.

26 May 2013  - Great news from our Importer in Singapore - GP Racing Asia.

Team driver Kyle Blocky from GP Racing Asia competing at the Sepang International kart circuit In DD2 one of the most important events took place at the pre-final post race weigh-in, as race winner Kyle Blockley was 0.5kg under the weight limit, resulting in a disqualification and putting him to the back of the grid for the final. This moved Yong Boon Tirachaimongkol to 1st and Melvin  Moh to 2nd for the start of the Final. Moh and Tiachaimongkol exited turn one on lap 1 side-by-side, with Melvin’s aggression enough to take the lead into turn 2, after which he powered away to take the win. The early move was important, because Kyle Blockley made his way through the back of the field all the way to 2nd place, just 2.3 seconds adrift of the winner. Kyle also set the  fastest ever lap recorded in DD2 at Sepang with a 48.938, which was 4 tenths faster than Moh’s fastest in the final, and faster than double DD2 Rotax Grand Finals champion Wesleigh Orr’s previous DD2 record of 48.998 set at the Rotax Invitational earlier this year. Tirachaimongkol didn’t have his pre-final pace in the final, as he dropped to 5th place at the line. Ang Kok Wee finished in 3rd, ahead of Brandon Lee…….A well educated and late braking achievement by Kyle using Frixa brake pads – Well done Kyle.

First, Tim Bendzko performed the official DTM song ’Ich steh nicht mehr still’ (’I am not standing still anymore’), and then, the action started at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg: the first DTM race of the season provided thrilling motorsport action with numerous overtaking manoeuvres, position changes and surprises. The 22 strong field thrilled the spectators on the grandstands. The buoyant winner after 42 laps and 192.108 kilometres was Brazilian Augusto Farfus with his BMW M3 DTM. The 29-year old showed a clever race, successfully used the technical novelties option tyres and DRS and was the first to take the chequered flag from his fellow BMW driver Dirk Werner and Christian Vietoris (Mercedes-Benz).

4th May 2013 - Development for the Tony Kart / Frixa Rotor

Already a success, the ven05 rotor / brake disc and now by a huge demand, we are creating the Tony Kart version of the ven05.

We hope this will be ready before the end of May 2013,

The composition and construction will be the same as the ven05 with the quality British grey iron as our F3 rotor / brake disc.

Its a shame the Tony Kart designers did not think of a 'floating system' maybe, we can produce that once the new Homologation period (2014) comes around.?

1st May 2013 - AYRTON SENNA

ALWAYS REMEMBERED – NEVER FORGOTTEN.....................19 years on

May 1, 1994, in the San Marino Grand Prix, where his race-leading Williams inexplicably speared off the Imola track and hit the concrete wall at Tamburello corner. Millions saw it happen on television, the world mourned his passing and his state funeral in Sao Paulo was attended by many members of the shocked Formula One community. Among the several drivers escorting the coffin was Alain Prost. Among the sad mourners was Frank Williams, who said: "Ayrton was no ordinary person. He was actually a greater man out of the car than in it."

‘The greatest’ British kart driver Mark Litchfield who has managed to secure the title of British Kart Champion no less than 5 times, driving the CRG platform for PF International Karting race team, will now be using Frixa brake products.

           PF International Kart Circuit

02 April 2013

The prototype CRG platformed ven05 Frixa brake disc we tested over an approximate 5 hour constant session here at PF International circuit, using varied drivers they found the new Frixa disc was far superior in terms of overall braking performance and driver feel.

A high quality of construction and excellent choice of materials is evident.

The Frixa disc has the highly functional look of braking technology about it, that has been filtered across to karting from the upper echelons of Frixa's F3 designs in motorsport.

The disc is significantly lighter (0,6Kg)  which means there is less inertia for the engine to overcome, which is an obvious performance advantage.

The Frixa disc also has better heat management so cools quicker. Less heat is imparted into the brake fluid and the parts surrounding the disc such as the axle, the brake pads and caliper. All the test drivers reported that the braking performance was more consistent and gave them more much confidence over a long session in the kart.

Once all the drivers adjusted to the new feel they said they would rather race with the Frixa disc on their kart.

The V05 is already a formidable brake system and I'm confident that it is already the best kart brake system on the market however with the addition of the new Frixa brake disc, the V05 would become a 'game changer' and be far superior to everything else available.

Thank you for this opportunity.
